#10 Beer Belly Polka

Blonde Ale ABV: 5.4%

Our friend Dave is good at many things. Making beer is not one of them…usually. We made this beer with ‘El Presidente’ of the St Paul Home Brewers Club, and named it in hopes of someday, he’ll weigh more than 120lbs at 6 foot 2 and have an epic beer belly. Thus far, it’s just skin, bone and snide remarks. Saltine crackers, husky malt and ladyfingers. Tinned mandarin orange, citronella and ruby red grapefruit. She’s awful crisp and dry yet malty through the finish. "Yeah, I'm into fitness... fit-ness whole beer in my belly."

#11 Drachenweizen

Helles Weizenbier mit Drachenfrucht ABV: 4.6%

MAGENTA!!! Simply, a traditional pale hefeweizen with dragon fruit from Hesse. MAGENTAAA!!! Technically a fruit beer, I mean there IS a lot of fruit but lets not monkey about, the only point of using a very $$$$ like dragon fruit is that color bruh!! MA-GEN-TA!!! Chewy wheat malt and spice. Pink gatorade, red currant, fresh pears with a hint of banana finishing wicked bright with a sweet orange peel zip to the end. MAGENTA!? MAGENTA!!

#12 Juicy Velour

Juicy DDH IPA ABV: 6.8%

Gothic script, sparkly ass rhinestones, timeless texture…we needed you to know we WERE the juiciest! A throwback to the comfort of Y2K when we doubled our polo’s, layered pants over dresses, tanks over tees…everything (!!!) and with this ‘paparazzi casual’ juicy IPA you’ll fit right in! Bright dirty sunshine…ruby red grapefruit and guava. Lychee and apricots. White peaches and fresh nectarines. Crackery malt and tea biscuits. Loads of citrus hops through the middle finishing super bright, crisp and juicy! Pull up, tun Lil Jon up, crunk up!

#13 U Wabašavský

16° Tmavý speciální pivo (Czech dark lager) ABV: 6.6%

The bigger, stronger and most expressive of the Czech normalish strength lagers. Looks dark, smells hoppy and tastes smooth, rich, deeply malty. Toasted bread crust, deep caramel and dried red fruits through the middle and finishing with spicy hops and dark chocolate. Easy now, at 6.6% she’s a bit sneaky. Řezané!?

#14 Polish Pole polish

Smoked Baltic Porter ABV: 8.3%

The least Portery of all Porters as its a big boy! An alternative? THE alternative to the English Imperian Stout, these ‘Baltics’ are always a bit less agro making them a bit more dangerous. About as common as a frown in Poland (ubiquitous), this bobr kurva here is a twist on your traditional Baltic porter. Containing both oak-smoked wheat and proper beech-smoked rauchmalt, this thing is deep, dark and malty. Notes of whole wheat toasty bread and rum raisin, Italian roast coffee and smokey goodness with some spicy and floral hops in the middle and a super smooth lagery finish yet strong enough to add grace and confidence to mentally polish any Pole.

#15 Drink Up Luckers

NITRO Irish Extra Stout ABV: 5.1%

The middle bro of the traditional Irish stout. This fella is richer, hoppier and roastier than your typical Nitro stout and punches well above its moderate weight. Little brother all grown up and ready for a proper craic. Slawnchers!!!

Colombian coffee, Ecuadorian cocoa nibs, ope…there’s some maple, lactose from a moo cow, three types of barley, two of oats, even the malted type, a bit of wheat, some rye too… French toast, oatmeal and Malt-O-meal with maple syrup and cream. Calling this a ‘stout’ is more of a Nom de Guerre than beer style but hey, it’s on NITRO!!

Fam, it’s been a rough year! We all have high hopes, we all are doing our best. Like this beer here. It was supposed to be clear, but it decided nope, not happening. So…she’s hazy. HOWEVER, she’s 10000% a west coast, just close your eyes, have positive vibes. Super lean and full of Minnesota pale malt, this mamajama is nearly 100% Citra hops lending tons of skunk weed, golden pineapple, fresh apricots and lychee, finishing with loads of pithy white grapefruit, hop resins and vats of sauvignon blanc.

Whether you are like The Terminator or like Sarah Conner, specifically "in the first movie too, before she could do chin-ups.” this super bright, hop-forward XPA will set you right. Honeyed graham cracker and pils malt. Loads of white grape, lychee and bright citrus finishing hoppy, crisp and super crushable. Nah, yeah, sweet as Sam Neill...RIP legend.

Curt Stock, former stalwart of Ward 4 and keen patron of the old Schroeders bar always makes an amazing cream ale. There have been so many people trying to top Curt’s and it just isn’t possible…but here we go. This version, has a bit of Jasmine rice in it, which Curt would call ‘too fancy’. This, here, is your everyday ale version of your favorite BMC type beers. Mellow corn and sweet pale malt. Floral hops and nutty pandan leaves. Super crisp, clean and dry through the finish that’s just meant to be crushed!

#8 1860’s Youngish Pale Ale

Historic Scottish Pale Ale ABV: 5.3%

Back into the Way Back Machine for a taste of 1860’s Edinburgh. It’s hard to wrap these types of beers into a nice little bow but its got a buncha hops and a buncha malt. A very simple recipe in one Scottish malt, some dark invert syrup and a solid thwacking of English hops. This amber lad has loads of honeysuckle and heather blossoms. Toffee, dark dried fruit and English tea biscuits. Rich and complex yet very drinkable, finishing rather grippy and malty.
